Uzo+Aduba+2015+InStyle+Warner+Bros+72nd+Annual+CArB5Z_21S-lOITNB was totally shunned last night at the Golden Globes (rude), but nominee Uzo Aduba looked stunning in Giorgio Armani Beauty, regardless. Makeup artist Janice Kinjo created a look inspired by classic Hollywood glamour to complement Uzo’s long silver beaded gown adorned with a hint of red. Here, the beauty breakdown.

FACE:

Giorgio Armani Fluid Master Primer

Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer in #3

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in #10, #11.5 and #14

Giorgio Armani Blender Brush

Giorgio Armani Cheek Fabric in #200, #506 and #509

First Kinjo applied Fluid Master Primer to create a solid base for the entire look. Next she added Fluid Sheer on top of Uzo’s cheek bones and on her forehead to add a little light under the foundation and create a dewy, bronzy effect.

Kinjo then used Luminous Silk Foundation to cover and contour. She used #10 on Uzo’s t-zone and under her eyes, then mixed #11.5 and #14 for shading. Kinjo blended and blurred using the Blender Brush.

A combo of Cheek Fabric #200, #506 and #509 were applied to the apple of the cheeks to provide a pop of color.

EYES:

Giorgio Armani Eye & Brow Maestro in #2

Giorgio Armani Eye Tint in #6, #7 and #12

Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Solo eyeshadow in #1 and #16

Giorgio Armani Waterproof Smooth Silk Eye Pencil in #2

Giorgio Armani Maestro Liquid Liner

Giorgio Armani Black Ecstasy Mascara

Kinjo filled in Uzo’s brows with a dark brown Eye & Brow Maestro to build a strong frame for the eye.

She then applied Eye Tint in #6 – a green silver shade – to the entire lid to provide an all-over shimmering effect. She used #7 – a deep silver – in the outer corners to create a smoky cat eye that lifted Uzo’s entire eye. To open the eye further, she added Eye Tint #12 – a champagne shade – to the inner corners. Kinjo used her fingers to blend the Eye Tints.

To build out the smoky cat eye, Kinjo used Eyes to Kill Solo eyeshadows #1 and #16. She lined the eye to build definition and ended with a few layers of mascara to complete the look.

LIPS:

Giorgio Armani Smooth Silk Lip Pencil in #11. Kinjo used a plum lip liner to cover the whole lip – matching the little bit of red in her dress to pull the entire look together.
