Fictitious Fragrance Fan: Cher Horowitz

This installment of FF basically wrote itself.  Alaïa’s newly launched, first fragrance is as timeless as the Clueless “You don’t understand this is an Alaïa!” scene.

Packaged in a sleek black bottle with a gold top, the fragrance is a mix of cool and hot tones: think hot pink pepper and musk, paired with peony and freesia. It’s feminine and modern. And when people ask what scent you’re wearing, you will respond “It’s like, a totally important designer!”

 Alaia Paris, $115, Saks.com.

This is part of R18 series Fictitious Fragrance Fans. Fragrance is one of the most difficult areas of beauty to discuss and I find myself trying to convey a scent to you, more often than not, by the pop culture character it embodies to me. So why not make it a thing?
