Hi! I’m Amber Katz, a writer, copywriter, and copyeditor with nearly two decades of experience in brand marketing and online and print media.
I work with Fortune 500 companies like Estée Lauder and Mars, startups, and everything in between. Skilled in SEO, social media, web copy overhauls, landing page copy from scratch, product names, PDPs, email newsletters, and more.
Your online store is your flagship store! How’s your landing page? Could it be clearer? More compelling? Nine out of 10 times, my clients’ pages need to be shorter—sometimes by a lot!—to ensure it won’t get lost in the attention economy. If you wouldn’t say it, I don’t write it.
Is your language more formal than it needs to be for a fun product? Are you a U.S.-based company making the common mistake of using British grammar (think: using words like towards, backwards, etc.?) Are there hyphens where em-dashes should be? Are you being as concise as you can be? Are you using the word “utilize”—the first indication someone isn’t as well-versed in what they’re talking about as they purport to be?
These are just a few of the long list of things I look for when I’m revamping landing-page copy. Email me at amber@rouge18.com to set up a call where we can workshop your copy together in 20 minutes or we can chat about rates for larger projects.
