Idol, Allsaints Spitalfields, The Office and Topshop...  the BEST things start out in England.

Now, Blink London Eyebrow Bar (found in Selfridges, Harvey Nick’s–as Ab Fab‘s Patsy Stone always called it– and SpaceNK) crosses the pond from London straight to our own little retail “Ellis Island,” Henri Bendel. I totally lift my lamp beside THAT golden door. Blink is a walk-in brow bar (threading is their thing) and the brain child of founder Vanita Parti. Once I started threading my brows in 2004 I NEVER went back. The precision and shape you can get with threading is so much better AND it causes much less damage to your delicate skin around the eyes. Read on…

I hightailed over to Bendel’s for a trial brow-clean up with the delightful Sama, who assessed my brow situation before threading my formerly mismatched messes (my brows are sisters, not twins, unfortunately) into a pair so symmetrical my face nearly rivals the equilibrium of Christy Turlington’s. AND YOU KNOW THAT IS A TALL ORDER.

Also, the brand’s products are freaking lifechanging, and it’s rare that I say that about eyebrow pencils specifically as my ash-blonde brows are very hard to match. For me, the Eyebrow Pencil in Cinnamon Spice ($26) is perfect with its wax-based formula that doesn’t smudge and longlasting hue.  Top it off with some Eyebrow Grooming Gel ($30), infused with Panthenol, which anyone who watched the Pantene ProV commercials in the 90s knows is EPICALLY important for hair health, and you’ve got a bulletproof brow that will look amazing all day. Lastly, the brand’s Nourishing Brow Oil ($30) will encourage growth whilst (see? everything Brit is more fun) boasting aromatherapeutic qualities thanks to sweet almond and rosemary oils.

An eyebrow shaping at Blink will set you back $32 (a portion of which goes to support Butterflies, a night shelter providing protection and education for street children in Delhi, India). Blink Beauty Bar is located at Henri Bendel at 712 Fifth Avenue in New York City and opens on Thursday, July 28 for biznass.

Go ahead and get browmantical about it.

That’s pretty incredible. Wish I lived near this place! I am currently looking for a place that offers threading near me, as my brows seem to get more and more sensitive to waxing. The older I get, the more painful, bright red, and pimply I get afterward. I hate it!
