Tracee Ellis Ross’ Bold Lip How-to

Jamie Greenberg for Kiehl’s and L’Oreal Paris did the makeup honors for the stunning Tracee Ellis Ross. “This look was all about beautiful, beautiful skin. She’s wearing a structured, beautiful dress in gorgeous metallic, and she’s wearing lots of rings and diamonds, and I didn’t want to distract from that, but I also didn’t want her face to get lost. Her look is glowing skin with a full brow and a bold lip to finish it.” Here, the beauty breakdown, courtesy of Jamie.

SKINCARE

Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream

Kiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate

Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

Kiehl’s Butterstick Lip Treatment

“First I started by prepping her lips with Kiehl’s Butterstick Lip Treatment, then I applied two drops ofKiehl’s Daily Reviving Concentrate to make her skin look super dewy. On top of that, I used Kiehl’s Pure Vitality Skin Renewing Cream, and the combination of everything just made her skin look really glowy. I dabbed a little Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado under the eyes, and then I applied Kiehl’s Micro-Blur Skin Perfector as the last step before the makeup. Finally, I used Kiehl’s Creme de Corps all over the body. Then I let everything absorb, to get the skin perfect.

EYES:

L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Frame and Set

L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nude Intense Palette

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Sculpt Liquid Eyeliner

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara Primer

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black

Then we started on her brow. I used a little bit of the L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Frame and Set, and combed through her brows, keeping her brows really pretty, really natural, but bold.

Then we used the L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Nude Intense Palette on her eyes. First we did a wash of the #7 color, a taupy, chocolate shimmer all over the lid, blending it on instead of packing on color. We wanted it to be a wash of color. Then I dusted the #1 color in the corner of her eyes and on top of the lid, for a finished sheen. Then I filled in her top lash line with the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Sculpt Liquid Eyeliner. I coated her top lashes with L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara Primer, and then applied a coat of L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black on the top and bottom lashes.

COMPLEXION:

L’Oreal Paris Visible Lift Radiance Booster

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Total Coverage Foundation

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Contour Blender

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Foundation Blender

L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Liquid Glow Illimunator in Rose

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paint Blush Palette

L’Oreal Paris True Match Powder

To complete her glowing skin, I applied a little bit of L’Oreal Paris Visible Lift Radiance Booster on the highs of her cheeks and a little bit down the nose. Then I buffed on the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Total Coverage Cover using the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Blend Artist Contour Blender and Foundation Blender.

For her cheeks, I blended in L’Oreal Paris True Match Lumi Glow Illuminator in Rose on the upper part of her cheeks, and then used two shades from the L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paint Blush Palette on the apples of her cheeks. I blended the 1st and 4th color right in the palette, and dusted it lightly on the apples of her cheeks.

“Finally, I powdered her T-Zone with a touch of True Match Powder.”

LIPS:

L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paint Lip, #322 and #324

We finished the whole look with a bold lip. I used L’Oreal Paris Infallible Paint Lip in #322 and #324 and blended them together on my hand before brushing the red-orange color on her lip.”
