This Saturday, I journeyed on up to my state’s capitol, Albany, and had a blast at the Kohl’s Trade-in event . Radio station Pop Crush 105.7 provided the tunes and gift card giveaways and makeup artist Dean from LORAC educated me and many shoppers about the brand’s multitude of holiday offerings and good-for-your-skin foundations, CCs and my new favorite item, the Touch-Up To Go. Kim from The Balm introduced me to the latest and greatest from the charming retro-adorned makeup range and I found many new favorites among the line I can’t wait to test out for myself. I was also madly impressed with Kohl’s new boutique-style set up for beauty offerings. There’s no counter (which can be intimidating) but a bevy of beauty experts are there to help you with your burning primping questions. Here, some of the highlights of the event.
Kim from The Balm introduced me to these adorable Hello Kitty slippers located near our post in the beauty section.
Kohl’s Fekkai offerings mean salon-styled hair in the privacy of your own home is about to become a reality.
Borghese is now at Kohl’s! Fango is one of my longtime favorite products and one of the first mud masks I introduced into my regimen. When my skin acts up, I slather on some of the thick green goo and find brighter, more hydrated skin in its wake.
This Canadian brand recently arrived stateside and boasts delicious scents like Lemon Bar and Coconut & Cream. The hand cream is non-greasy, but hydrates in a way you’d expect for a formula blended in the north.
Last, The Balm’s hilarious Meet Matt(e) features Matts of all cultures and corresponding shadow shades eschewing all shimmer and glitter for pure color payoff and creamy texture.
