Obianuju’s October Favorites

  1. Kiko Milano Smart Fusion Lip Penicil ‘531 Chocolate’ ($4)

This light chocolate shade is a beautiful and unique nude shade on medium to dark skin tones. Use it to line your lips, or fill them in all the way to use as a matte lip color. You can even add a gloss for some shine.

  1. Innis Free Refreshing Lip & Eye Makeup Gel Remover ($5)

If you’re a frequent mascara wearer like myself, scrubbing your eyes with the requisite amount of makeup remover on a cotton pad each day can be hard on your lashes. Instead, I apply this gel remover to my lashes and let it sit for about 5 minutes to loosen and dissolve the mascara. Then, when I go in with a cotton pad with normal makeup remover on it, the mascara just glides off.

  1. Sugarpill ‘Asylum’ Loose Eyeshadow ($14)

I’m new to loose pigments but am loving every moment of it. This shade is described as “shiny sexpot red with dramatic sparkle”, and they’re right. ‘Asylum’ is a brilliant classic red shade with shimmer. Apply it wet for a great foiled effect.

  1. Charlotte Russe Lashes At Length Lengthening Mascara ($8.99)

Who knew this would become one of my favorite mascaras of the many I’ve tried over my beauty lifetime? The star of this product is the wand. A long, thin wand, characteristic of lengthening mascaras, adds extra length to your lashes while still coating each lash. Because this mascara is a true black, I like to use it as the second coat in my mascara routine.

  1. By Rosie Jane “James” Eau de Parfum ($50)

As someone who typically doesn’t like floral scents, I was surprised by how much I loved this fragrance. Notes: Fig, Amber, Gardenia
