2015 Golden Globes Makeup & Hair: Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer+Lopez+72nd+Annual+Golden+Globe+Awards+TEsrXr89_aHlJennifer Lopez‘ face (and cleavage) surely time-machined in from 2001. I scored the makeup breakdown, courtesy of JLo’s makeup artist, Mary Phillips and hairstylist, Lorenzo Martin. Here they are.

MAKEUP
Says Mary, “Jennifer is always a focal point on the red carpet, and Mary really likes to go all out for big award shows like the Golden Globes. She wanted old school Hollywood glamour and va-va-voom, drawing inspiration from Italian bombshells like Sophia Loren: sexy, fearless, timeless, bold, striking.” Here’s how to get the look.

STEP 1: Mary applied L’Oréal Paris RevitaLift Moisture Blur ($24.99) to the entire face as a primer for smooth texture

STEP 2: Next, she covered the face with L’Oréal Paris Visible Lift Blur Foundation ($14.99) in Honey Beige. She added drops of a luminous highlighter, Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer ($62) for definition and sheen.

STEP 3: For eyes, Mary used  L’Oréal Paris Infallible Smokissime Powder Eyeliner in Brown Smoke ($9.99) as a simple one-step to a smokey look.  She accented using taupe, gold and brown hues of Infallible Eye Shadow Crayon. ($7.99)

STEP 4: She turned to L’Oreal Paris Brow Stylist Sculptor in Brunette ($8.99) subtly fashioning brows to frame the face without being too overbearing.

STEP 5: For lips, Mary used Giorgio Armani Smooth Silk Lip Pencil #1 ($30)– the nude of nudes – to line the lips, and finished with L’Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Lip Color in Neverending Nutmeg ($12.99).  The pale hue worked perfectly against her metallic dress.

STEP 6: She finished off with L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray ($16.99), which kept Jennifer’s makeup looking fresh for hours following application.

HAIR

When Lorenzo Martin saw Jennifer’s Zuhair Murad 1960’s inspired dress he immediately thought of ’60s bombshell Sharon Tate.

STEP 1: Lorenzo washed Jennifer’s hair with L’Oréal Paris Advanced Haircare – Volume Filler Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner ($4.99 each). On damp hair, he sprayed L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It High Lift Creation Spray ($4.99).

STEP 2: To amp up volume, Lorenzo applied L’Oréal Paris Advanced Hairstyle Boost It Volume Inject Mousse ($4.99) on damp hair and began to blow dry with a round brush.

STEP 3: Lorenzo set Jennifer’s hair in 1” hot rollers for about an hour. Jennifer then flipped her hair over and Lorenzo brushed her hair out

STEP 4: He began to tease the crown while spraying L’Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray Extra Strong Hold ($14.99).

STEP 5: To complete the look, Lorenzo used a comb to split a front portion of Jennifer’s hair down the middle and secured behind her ears with a few bobby pins.

Tip: To get a similar hair color as Jennifer’s use L’Oreal Paris Mousse Absolue in Pure Light Brown.
