Shiseido Celebrates 140 Years + Look Good Feel Better Beauty Editors Day Tomorrow

Last week, I journeyed on up to Harlem to watch as Shiseido planted a cherry blossom tree in NYC with the New York Restoration Project (NYRP) in honor of the brand’s epic 140th anniversary. The brand planted their first tree last Monday and volunteered in Harlem’s parks as part of the worldwide volunteerism effort (with more than 45,000 employees worldwide participating!). Read on to find out how you can help plant trees and more about the latest makeup and skin care gems from the brand.

President & CEO, Hisayuki Suekawa with Shiseido employees at the tree-planting ceremony.

As part of the anniversary celebration, you can make your own “Wish for the World” via a virtual cherry blossom tree at For every 140 wishes made, Shiseido will plant a cherry blossom tree in NYC with New York Restoration Project (NYRP).
