1) Fresh Life Body Oil ($48): Exploding with all the best oils and scents know to man (primrose oil, jojoba seed oil and almond oil are just the start), Fresh Life Body Oil has white lily flower extract, sunflower seed oil, passionflower seed oil and ginseng root extract. They blend into a deliciously calming soothing oil that I have been applying every night. If you slather it on post-bath, when your skin’s still damp, and crawl under the warm covers, you almost melt away, despite the snow flurries outside.
2) Dolce and Gabbana Mask ($169 for pack): In the words of Mindy Kaling, “Before you look pretty, first you have to look fucking weird.” You may scare small children when you wear your sheet mask but when you emerge, you’re as fresh-faced as they are. Amber jokes that I’m the Italian Correspondent, but there is no brand I feel more patriotic about than Dolce and Gabbana. A long-time makeup purveyor, their skin care is super-luxe. This mask, unlike any other sheet mask I’ve tried, left behind a lot of moisturizer to rub into your skin and down your dec. It’s definitely an Italian treat worth splurging on, like tiramisu.
3) Tarte Power Pigment in “exposed” ($24): I’m low-maintenance when it comes to lips. Which means if I have to prime and line and bolt and re-apply, I’m probably not going to wear the color. My latest easy lip is this Tarte tint which comes out super smooth and applies like a dream. Exposed is a nude with pink undertones, so it’s uber subtle but really pulls together your look.
4) Guerlain Terracotta Joli Teint Foundation ($53): Before I sing the praise of a foundation I put it to the test: is it what I actually reach for on the days when I rushing to get ready? Only once I find myself cutting it open like a savage at the end of its run (to get at least one more use out of it), do I deem it worth of a review. This Guerlain Foundation still surprises me with it’s amazing coverage and light formula, I use damp beauty blender and tap tap tap all my imperfections away.
