Emmys 2013 Makeup: Anna Chlumsky

I’m enjoying Anna Chlumsky‘s return to my screen as much as I did her “My Girl” ode to ice cream. And her tortoiseshell iPhone case is straight up covetable; she must have purchased a chic one just for that Emmys cameo. Here, the “Veep” star’s makeup breakdown at the Emmys last night, courtesy of Melanie Inglessis for Dior Beauty.

“Anna’s beautiful forest green dress has an Art Deco feel, and we wanted the hair and make up to be a little rocknroll, a little Debbie Harry… I wanted the mouth to really stand out so I defined the lips with Dior’s new Rouge Dior Contour Lipliner pencil in Elite Pink, and then applied Rouge Dior lipstick in Vogue with my ring finger, depositing most of the color in the center of her lips. This technique along with the lipliner helps the color to last throughout the night. I defined Anna’s eyes with Dior Crayon Eyeliner in Intense Brown, creating a soft line by her top lash line and then smudging it with Dior Fusion Mono shadow in Hypnotique. I then applied the Fusion Mono shadow in Meteore to the inner corners of her eyes to add luminosity. For a fresh finish, I applied Diorblush in Rose Cherie just on the apples of her cheeks.”
