SAG Awards Makeup: Michelle Dockery

One of the best beauty looks at the SAG Awards? Downton Abbey‘s Michelle Dockery. The inspiration for her makeup at the SAGs, courtesy of Jordan Long: We wanted to do something modern and architectural with a nod to classic Hollywood glamour. Here’s how to get the look.

SKINCARE:   CHANEL Hydra Beauty Serum and Le Blanc de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Base.

FOUNDATION: I used CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Sunscreen Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 and applied it with the foundation brush. Michelle loves glowing, dewy skin, and because her skin is flawless I only have to use a little amount. I then used a tiny bit of CHANEL Correcteur Perfection Long-Lasting Concealer under the eyes and around the nose.

BLUSH:  For Michelle’s cheeks, I lightly dusted CHANEL Powder Blush in Frivole, keeping it concentrated at the apples. I then finished with Poudre Signée de Chanel Illuminating Powder to highlight her cheekbones, and a bit down her nose and above the bow of her lip to give her that extra radiance!

EYES:  We were really set on doing a smoky eye this time, but we decided to give it a twist by using the gorgeous deep green in CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Lilium. With a domed eyeshadow brush, I applied the green shade all across her lid and blended it up . I also smudged it underneath the lower lashes. I then took the black matte shadow in CHANEL Eyeshadow Duo in Gris-Subtil and intensified the smoke on the outer corners. To add a little sparkle right at the lashline, I smudged a bit of CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Illusoire.

MASCARA: I finished with three coats of Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir on the upper

and lower lashes.

LIPS: We smudged the gorgeous CHANEL Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in

L’Exquise and used it almost like a stain, with no liner.

What do you think of Michelle Dockery’s look?
