Get The Look: Elizabeth Banks’ Makeup At The ‘People Like Us’ Premiere

I’m adoring the minimalist, fresh-faced effect Elizabeth Banks is giving us at the premiere of “People Like Us.” Here, the beauty breakdown of her makeup concept, courtesy of her makeup artist Fiona Stiles.

“Elizabeth has been a busy bee this year! This was our fourth or fifth red carpet event this year so far. I love getting to make her up – she loves clothes, loves makeup and always wants to play with her look. For the premiere of ‘People Like Us,’ a simple but strong look was what we were going for.

I prepped the skin with Yon-Ka Pamplemousse moisturizer, and used Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in 8.5 as a base, topped with a bit of CHANEL Natural Finish Loose Powder in #30. I contoured her cheeks with INGLOT AMC Cream Blush #94, and added a touch of Benefit Sunbeam as a highlighter.

I kept the brows strong and structured, and used NARS Matte Velvet Pencil in Bahama for a soft, almost stain-like effect on the lips. When I applied the lip, I softened the edges with a Q-Tip so the line wouldn’t feel harsh. For the eyes I did a soft wash of a warm taupe from the CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow palette in Dunes, and lined the eyes just at the lash line with MAC FluidLine Eye-Liner Gel in BlackTrack. I swept a bit of the shadow under the lower lashes just to add a little depth. The taupe underneath almost reads as a shadow from the lashes. It’s a clean look that’s pretty and fresh. Not tricky, just lovely. ”
