February used to be my least favorite month. Well, let’s be serious. It’s STILL my least favorite month, but at least the tiring but fabulous Fashion Week now represents nearly half of it. The February 2009 shows marked the last mostly clogger-free backstage situation and there were plenty of notable beauty concepts. Here, a list of my favorites:

Beauty bloggers the world over are STILL talking about MAC maven Gregory Arlt’s “kitten eye” and red-orange lip (courtesy of Lady Danger Lipstick by MAC, obv) featured at Twinkle by Wenlan.

I lived for the “danceteria eye” and very complicated but very beauts (like beautiful dolls, come on) smooth waves created backstage at Chris Benz.

Backstage at Tibi, MAC makeup artist Makky did Mimi of The Drew Carey Show one better–in a good way.
