Fictionary: Bangst + Zooey Deschanel For Pantene

Ever since I first saw Zooey Deschanel play Anita Miller in “Almost Famous,” I was struck by her incredibly shiny hair and retro sensibility. Since she’s progressed to it girl status with her show “The New Girl,” as well as her band She and Him, she’s officially everyone’s favorite quirky delight. She’s like Sara Lee–no one doesn’t like her (if you’ll pardon the double negative, written by some fakakta copywriter decades ago).

Last week, I had a chance to catch up with Zooey at a Pantene-hosted breakfast and ask her how she gets her bangs to be perfect, and well–the opposite of Bangst-inducing. Said Zooey, “I move my brush back and forth horizontally while brushing them. It’s how I get them to lay so flat against my forehead.” She also is a fan of the brand’s new line, Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths Strengthen And Smooth Finishing Creme ($6). The suite of items includes a shampoo, conditioner and mask as well designed to strengthen your locks to grow to Rapunzel lengths on the double.

Blunt bangers, try it out and reduce your Bangst!

Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths collection is available at drugstores nationwide.
