Chanel celebrity makeup artist Angela Levin did the makeup honors for the stunning Nicole Kidman. “She was wearing the most amazing dress, with very thin spaghetti straps. I wanted to create luminescent skin that shows off her beauty,” said Angela. Here, the beauty breakdown in Angela’s words.

SKINCARE
Before makeup, I applied a little CHANEL Sublimage La Crème Texture Fine and then left her complexion alone.

FACE
To start, I used CHANEL Base Lumière Illuminating Makeup Base very strategically on key points of the face, just highlighting her natural beauty. Then I dabbed one of my favorites, CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Colour Stick in N°21, over her cheekbones into the apples of the cheeks.

EYES
For Nicole’s eyes, I started with CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Lotus across the lid, then added CHANEL Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Midnight on the outer-third, really emphasizing a bit of a cat eye. I added a blue-grey shadow in between those two shades, then blended together. After lining the upper and lower lashline, I can’t even tell you how many coats of CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara in Noir I applied on her top lashes.

LIPS
I only used one lip product: CHANEL Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lipshine in Script. It gives you the tiniest bit of tint and lets the natural lip color come through. It’s a nice, elegant color that doesn’t make the look seem too forced.
