Steal Rooney Mara’s Architectural Oscars Hairstyle

Adir Abergel created Rooney Mara’s stunning Oscars ‘do. “I wanted to create a statement updo that had high polish with great architectural edge that mimicked the lines of the Givenchy dress,” he said.  The look? A slick triple bun updo with an architectural edge. Here, the beauty breakdown in his words.

I started by using Pai Shau Bipasic Infusion from roots to ends on dry hair to create a lustrous foundation. I then flat ironed the hair completely straight so that it had the fluidity I need to create the sleek updo. Then I sectioned the hair from temple to temple to create the first severe parting and pulled into a high pony tail. I created my second severe parting just below the top ponytail and made another  pony-tail from mid ear to mid ear that hid the first pony tail. I sprayed the entire head with hair spray to eliminate any frayed ends or layers. Then I flipped the ponytail up and tucked the ends into the second section of the ponytail. Finally, I took the last section of hair and wrapped it around an elastic band, and secured into a low chignon and pinned it into place.
