Put on your Game Face: Summer 2008 Beauty Olympics

Opening Ceremonies: Dolls, I’ve been testing out products to identify which cosmetics would be Beijing-bound – if there only were a beauty category. Daneen and I are participating in synchronized beauty blogging to provide you guys with a dream team of beauty products expertly culled from our respective extensive reviews. Using a scale of 1 to 10 (just like the Olympic judges!), we are awarding three winners in each category the gold, silver and bronze. Read on to find out which beauty champions made the list. To quote Daneen, “these winners demonstrate such amazing strength, agility, and endurance, you’d swear they’re on steroids.”

Excellent suggestions; I see some I need to try. Wonder what eye cream those Olympians will be using (after that 12 hr. flight? Think of the bags!). Hope you’re doing well! 🙂

    Hi Budget Conscious Beauty Junkie!

I TOTALLY understand. This particular list is mostly non-drugstore, you’re correct. But I post about drugstore brands all the time, for instance check out my posts on Cover Girl and Maybelline mascaras, and Clean & Clear Steam for example. Just an FYI, Flirt! will set you back a mere $10, Sally Hansen’s Nail Pen can be found at drugstores, LUMENE is also at CVS, and the Venus Embrace is an economical purchase.

That said, I hear your plea, and plan to do another compilation soon of under $10 products. Thank you for your suggestion!

    hi,

i lurrvve this blog and this is a cute post, but i can’t afford any of these products and i refuse to charge makeup&cosmetics to a credit card unless it’s truly an emergency.
can you please consider doing a drugstore version of this or try to include products that are under $10 next time you do a similar compilation?

    i would really appreciate it.
    thank you =]
