Making The Mundane Glamorous (Glamdane): Thymes Mandarin Coriander Dishwashing Liquid

Making The Mundane Glamorous (Glamdane) is a new series on BBJ featuring typically boring household items in more gorgeous scents and packaging! Here, the first installment.

So, I just moved from my former stu stu studio (which my gal Courtney moved into) into a 1-bedroom in the same building (huzzah!) and the first thing I do when I move is harbor delusions of grandeur about what type of person I’ll be in this apartment. I have decided that I will:

1. Cook since I now have a TABLE to eat on. A luxury I haven’t experienced since 2006, believe it or not. Manhattan living, friends.

2. Go to bed at a reasonable hour now that my apartment isn’t LOUD AS HELL and my “work area” isn’t in the veritable face of my “sleeping area.” This one, I’ve actually achieved. I’ve moved my bedtime from 1-1:30am to about 10:30-11. I feel AMAZING. Hope it lasts.

3. Clean far more regularly with the inaugural gorgeous cleaning products I always get when I first move. I have yet to increase my sweeping/mopping/dusting, but I HAVE been dirtying dishes just so I can bust out my new favorite product…

Thymes Mandarin Coriander Dishwashing Liquid. It smells DIVINE, friends. Not cloying, not too herbal, just crisp and clean. The mandarin boasts a fruity citrus vibe while the coriander tempers the sweetness. I’d rock it as perfume, it’s so gorge. Best of all, it’s biodegradable and features naturally derived ingredients so you can feel totally virtuous handing off your Dawn to your mother while you lather up your mugs with this cleanser.

Thymes Mandarin Coriander Dishwashing Liquid retails for $9.50 at thymes.com.

Disclosure: A sample of the dishwashing liquid was sent by Thymes PR for editorial consideration.
