Skincare Superstar: Silk’n ReVit Microdermabrasion Device

fullsizerender

My Sunday skincare routine is all about gentle exfoliation for my face and body. Can we all agree that dead skin cells are unchill? I slough my skin before taking a relaxing bath to end the weekend and my go-to exfoliants these days are the Silk’n ReVit microdermabrasion tool for my face and dry brushing for my body.

The former helps me keep my skin looking younger, smoother and more even. It works to removes dead skin cells by drawing them into the device with its vacuum stimulation. Gross but amazing: The dead skin cells are collected in a replaceable filter and when you change the filter you can see the quantity of dead particles previously attached to your skin. You can choose from 2 energy levels to customize your own level of exfoliation.

Here’s how to use the ReVit:

Step 1: Wash face with cleanser and water

Step 2: Select the treatment tip most suitable for the area/skin being treated

Step 3: Turn the device on to the desired level. With the device in one hand, use the other hand to hold your skin taut. Hold the tip to face and run slowly across treatment area. Do not keep the device in one spot, always have it moving. Treat each area for approximately 5 minutes. Each session typically lasts 10-15 minutes.

Step 4: Wash face with cold water and apply moisturizer when treatment is completed. Use every 3-4 days, depending on skin type.

Post bath, I unwind with a couple episodes of whatever show I’m bingeing (right now, it’s the original seasons of Gilmore Girls) and revel in my super-smooth, glowy skin. Buy one for yourself or as a holiday gift for the beauty gal on your list on Macys.com, $99

What’s your Sunday skincare routine?
