David Babaii, Brand Ambassador for ghd, North America, created a soft, ethereal look for Kate Hudson’s Met Ball 2015 appearance.

“To start, I dried Kate’s hair with the ghd air™ hairdryer, brushing the hair towards the back of her head. Once hair was completely dry, I parted into three sections: one in the back and one on each side. Starting with the section in the back, I took one inch pieces and wrapped the hair around the ghd curve™ creative curl wand. I held each piece around the barrel for 10 seconds, then released the curl and stretched it out for 2-3 seconds until it cooled, creating subtle curls. I then pulled the hair into a high ponytail, twisting and wrapping it around the base to create a loose bun. Once the bun was secure, I pulled out a few loose pieces and used the ghd eclipse™ styler to straighten out the hair that framed Kate’s face. With ghd’s patented tri-zone™ technology there are three heat sensors within the iron that keep the temperature at 365 degrees – which is optimal for styling. To top off the look, I added a glamorous head piece.”

What do you think of Kate Hudson’s Met Ball look? I’m a fan of her gold Michael Kors gown!
