2014 MTV Video Music Awards - Red Carpet

mark. Brand Ambassador Lucy Hale is hosting the MTV VMA pre show tonight in a stunning makeup look courtesy of celebrity Makeup Artist Kelsey Deenihan. Here, the beauty breakdown.

Face

To start I applied La prairie Cellular creme platinum rare ultimate rejuvenating cream all over Lucy’s face followed by Armani luminous silk foundation in #6 for a flawless base. Next I set the base with mark. Great Finish Pressed Perfecting Powder in Light. After the face was set I applied mark. Glowdacious Illuminating Powder in Amped Up. The darker slightly shimmer powder works great as a contour and adds subtle color to Lucy’s cheeks. I finished the cheeks with mark. Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes to really catch the light and illuminate the cheek bones.

Eyes

Lucy’s eye shadow is a mixture of shadows in the middle row of the mark. On the Dot Neutral Eye Color Compact. I used the darkest shade in the outer corners and went gradually lighter toward the inner eyes. Bringing a darker shadow to the outer corners elongates the eye giving them an almond shape. Underneath the eye I smudged the same darker shadow from the mark. compact (middle row far right) starting thicker on the outer corners and lightly blending inward toward the inner corners of the eyes. I added mark. No Place to Run Waterproof Eyeliner in Jet Set (black). To the top and bottom water lines.  This is the best liner for the water lines Since its waterproof and won’t budge! I finished the eyes with a couple generous coats of mark. Lash Act Mascara in Blackest Black.

Lips

With the eyes being the focus I added a simple neutral mauve gloss to Lucy’s lips. She’s wearing mark. Glossworks Longwear Lip Gloss in Roseland for the red carpet.  With a quick change into an Oscar de la Renta dress to host MTVs preshow we changed Lucy’s lip to a bright magenta gloss by mark. She’s wearing mark. Glossworks in Tempest. The color mimics the colors on the dress as well as Her Brian Atwood pumps.
