Makeup: Rose Byrne; 2014 Women In Film Crystal + Lucy Awards

rose-byrne-makeup-women-in-film-crystal-lucy-2014Celebrity makeup artist Georgie Eisdell created a sultry cosmetics concept for Rose Byrne for the 2014 Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards on Wednesday, June 11th. “Rose had a modern 70’s vibe going on tonight so I wanted to keep her makeup really clean, cool and chic,” says Georgie. Here’s how to get the look.

“The focus was all on her eyes. I started by using Laura Mercier Matte Eye Shadow in Buttercream all over her eyelids for a flawless base. I then mixed Laura Mercier Matte Eyeshadow in Twilight Grey with NARS Eye Shadow in Namibia to get the perfect medium shade of grey. I put this color over her lid, blending into the crease slightly to create a smoky effect. I brought the color under her eyes to create a deeper smoky effect, graduating from stronger to lighter toward the inner corner under the eye. I finished off her eyes with 3 layers of CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara in Black.

I evened out her skin using L’Oreal True Match Foundation and then powdered all over with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder.

I used a very small amount of Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Color in Honey Mocha on the apple of the cheek and blended it back slightly towards the ear.

To define her brows, I used Laura Mercier Brow duo in Ash.

On her lips, I used Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Color in #4.

To finish, I used Tom Ford Bronzing Powder in Terra very lightly on the forehead, cheekbone, and chin to add a little warmth.”
