2012 Oscars Beauty: Gwyneth Paltrow’s Makeup

Gwyneth Paltrow was BY FAR the most glamorous beauty look of the night at the 2012 Oscars, among throngs of celebs who–let’s be real with each other–just didn’t set the world on fire. Her caped Tom Ford was a game changer, as was her hair and makeup. NARS worked with celebrity makeup artist Leslie Lopez to create presenter Gwyneth Paltrow’s red carpet look at the 84th annual Academy Awards. Here’s how to recreate Gwyneth’s makeup look at home.

“It’s elegantly bronzed,” said celebrity makeup artist Leslie Lopez for NARS Cosmetics about the red carpet look she created for Gwyneth Paltrow. “The dress makes such a statement, but it also has no color, so we needed to create a makeup look that complemented the dress and was still sophisticated enough for the red carpet. I really loved the Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer because it gives a sun-kissed look to her skin, and perfect against a white dress!”

EYES
The champagne side of NARS Alhambra Duo Eyeshadow applied on the eyelid for a pop of gold, followed by a Maybelline brown liquid eyeliner along the lashline. The look was finished with NARS Larger Than Life Volumizing Mascara.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30 PA +++ was also applied to her neck, décolletage, and shoulders.

Was Gwyneth Paltrow your favorite 2012 Oscars look? Why or why NOT?
