Fictionary: The Bridge To Keratin-ia

Fictionary is a column showcasing beauty-related words that don’t exist, but should.

The Bridge To Keratin-ia is modeled (onomatopoeically, anyway) on Bridge To Terabithia. The book is actually tragic and centers around two lonely children who create a magical forest kingdom in the ’70s. But we’re here to discuss beauty, (which is patently un-tragic) and I’m going to let you in on the secret to The Bridge To Keratin-ia–i.e., hair that stays smooth, straight (or at least wavy) and kink-free even in the most desperately rainy of Aprils in between your regularly scheduled keratin treatments. Or, if you haven’t involved yourself with them, to simply sleekify your mane in LIEU of them. Isn’t having smooth hair when yours tends to frizz if you even think about water JUST AS MAGICAL AS AN ENCHANTED FOREST KINGDOM? (I think so).

TRESemme’s Climate Control suite of products includes a shampoo, conditioner, mousse and finishing spray so you’ll be treating your hair well from the shower until you step out in style. I attended a blogger event introducing the new line and was blown away (ha!) by how smooth my hairline curls were even before the blow-out. And despite a bout of raintastic weather for days following the style sesh, I was still looking perfectly coiffed until I finally washed my hair 3 days deep. TRESemme conditioners are always the stuff of genius, but this shampoo wowed me as well–and it’s safe for color-treated and keratined locks.

So forget the forecast. This line’s easy on the wallet with each gigunda-sized item retailing for under $5 each. The TRESemme Climate Control line is available at Walgreens.com
