New: Benefit Cha Cha Tint

Benefit Cosmetics has come out with a new Tint–Cha Cha Tint–to add to their franchise of BeneTint and PosieTint, both of which I have gone through GALLONS. Not an exaggeration. My passport is even stained with BeneTint. And–dare I say it? Cha Cha Tint is my favorite YET.

Why? First, it lasts foreVER (to be said in the voice of The Sandlot‘s Squints Palledorous, of course). Por ejemplo, I put some on circa 11am yesterday morning on my lips and cheeks and was still looking post-makeout flushed at 11pm. That’s the truth, friends. For the full review, read on…

The light, sheer mango-verging-on-coral tinted liquid calls to mind that VERY pivotal scene in Dirty Dancing when Baby Houseman and Johnny Castle perform at the Sheldrake Hotel. The hue Cha Cha Tint yields is exactly the shade of Baby’s dress she wore to dance in lieu of Penny. I’ve encountered a lot of stains and I’ve never found one this vibrant color that ALSO is uber long-lasting. And to quote Max Kellerman,”You and me Tito, we’ve seen it all.”  You’ll find yourself replacing utterly your Beige. Iridescent. Lipstick.

Benefit’s Cha Cha Tint retails for $29 and will be available in June 2011 in stores and on benefitcosmetics.com. Buy it, and in the sage words of Johnny Castle, “[You’ll] never be sorry.” Then pour out just a smidge in honor of our fallen friend, Patrick Swayze. Okay? And beware of Spaghetti Arms.

I’ve got one of the other tints, and although I love it, it tends to turn very pinky/red on my lips (but i have very pigmented lips naturally).

Does this warm up on your skin? Or does it stay a lighter color. Thanks for sharing!

Hey Joi! I hear that, and brown friends of mine have mentioned the same thing. This one IS pretty heavily pigmented, so I think there’s a good chance it won’t end up in the “ashy” drawer, as Andrea Arterbery says. Try it out at Sephora and let me know how you fare!

I love Benefit for the packaging and innovative fun beauty products, but I feel like they forget they have a ‘brown’ fan base too. Do you think this would look good on darker skinned ladies?
