What’s On Elizabeth Dehn’s Vanity?

The What’s On Your Vanity Series showcases a single beauty item (sometimes several items) a beauty blogger loves because it’s effective, but also she feels she must keep out on top of her vanity because the gorgeous packaging must be displayed.

My friends, if you’re not reading the talented Elizabeth Dehn‘s site, BeautyBets.com, I actually don’t know what it is you ARE doing all the time. This clever site boasts intelligent, entertaining, informed beauty product reviews and trend reporting. You’ll be delighted by Elizabeth’s (Bets) conversational tone and enchanted by her cameo portrait-y logo. Elizabeth’s given us a stellar shot of her stash (with another kind of cameo–this one by her adorable dog Molly. Could you die over that face?) and a run-down of her favorite skin care items. Without further ado, let’s take a trip to “The Taj.” In the words of Elizabeth:

Asking a beauty blogger what’s on her vanity is like asking chef what’s in her pantry. But instead of a vanity, I have beauty closets. As Amber can probably attest, they are the blessing and the curse of any product junkie. Here’s a pic of “The Taj,” as my friends like to call it. It contains products I either need to try, have tried and want to write about, or keep on hand for TV segments (like all of those heavenly Bliss scrubs). My girl Molly Thomas also has impeccable taste and loves snooping around The Taj. And inserting herself in photos.

Although I don’t have room for a vanity in the 1930s cape cod I share with Mr. Bets, I do have an old-school built-in above the bathroom sink that houses the skincare I’m currently using. Even this is a bit ridic:

A few highlights (l to r):

Intelligent Nutrients Anti-Aging Serum I’m fanatical about facial oils. This organic, all-in-one miracle treatment moisturizes, protects, and undoes damage.
Karin Herzog Vit-A-Kombi 1 – Probably (and unfort) the only thing I have in common with Kate Middleton is this high-tech oxygen face cream that lightens and brightens like no other.
Josie Maran Argan Primer Mist – I think of this as more of a hydrating treatment than a primer. I sprits it on before my moisturizer, to set my makeup, or as a midday refresher.
Origins High Potency Night-a-Mins – One of Mr. Bets’ few product obsessions. He uses it post-shave and at night if I can get him to wash his face first. Men.

Prevage Eye Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 15 & Eye Serum – I started seeing fine lines around my eye in my mid-twenties. That’s what you get for smoking and laying on a black-tar roof in college. I’m determined to undo the damage with this powerful pair. My mother swears by Prevage so I have high hopes.

Thanks, Elizabeth! Stay tuned for more What’s On Your Vanity.
