Here’s to New Year’s Resolutions: Dina, Felicia and I did a Physique 57 class today, which was phenomenal, but DAMN do they rock you hard. The workout is a favorite of fitness fanatic Kelly Ripa, and consists of a series of dynamic exercises that use your own body weight as resistance. Muscles are targeted, then overloaded to the point of fatigue, then stretched for relief. The result is long, lean muscles.
Check out our thoughts on it in the above video. In the words of Felicia, “I think I’m gonna need Depends tomorrow because I won’t be able to walk to the bathroom.” Yeah. The next day, I experienced a noticeable level of discomfort walking down stairs and making sudden movements, but I feel far more toned after just one class.
