I had the opportunity to try out L’Oreal Professionnel Infinium 3 Strong Hairspray and am SO pleased to report that is indeed, a replacement for my beloved Elnett. Just like Elnett, it’s a strong, long-lasting spray that will still allow you to brush it out. While Elnett is fantastic, It’s a) plum impossible to buy in the U.S. and b) sort of smells the way your elderly aunt Ethel does. It’s not really… sexy. The other drawback about Elnett is that because it’s so hard to buy (seriously, it’s verging on illegal in this country), I have an absolutely huge, monolith of a container of it that’s insane to travel with. I do it, but it’s insane. I’m beyond relieved to have a far more reasonably-sized bottle of Infinium, which smells sublime, to accompany me on my LA/Cabo trip (T minus 1 day). It’ll be so much easier to channel L.C.’s curls with my suitcase friendly bottle.
In other Infinium-related news, L’Oréal Professionnel and Artistic Partner Recine, once again joined with Zac Posen to present the designer’s Spring 2008 collection at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week on September 11th. To complement a collection inspired by “Days of Heaven, the Shakers, wheat fields of the Great Plains and the romance of the wide open sky,” Recine created a sophisticated and classic hair silhouette, set in a modern bun, that was “electrified” by crimping of the hair and a glass finish achieved through the award winning hairspray L’Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Infinium.
This will probably be my last post until I return, unless I find a laptop and some time while I’m away. If it’s not vital that I share more beauty info before I leave (and it may just be), have an excellent first week of October and I’ll be back on the 8th!
P.S. Just a word of advice from me to you: if you have to tell people that you’re either attractive, funny, or smart… you’re neither. Just saying. That is such a pet peeve of mine running RAMPANT these days. Miss you, mean it!
