Last Friday, I hosted some of my favorite bloggers and online editors at The Cutting Room NYC, a live-music and event venue featuring sprawling, ample rock-themed space and incredible food. My beauty crew dined on veggie tacos, hummus, a cheese plate for the ages, mini lobster rolls, and macaroni and cheese to die for, in addition to epic desserts.
Here, Aly Walansky and I, taking a social-media seat break at the party.
As an 11-year resident of the Gramercy area of Manhattan, I often frequented the hotspot’s 24th Street location. I was originally seduced by its Sex And The City connection (the venue is co-owned by SATC alum Chris Noth) and it quickly became a night-out go-to. In 2013, the space reopened on East 32nd Street. “We wanted a place where up and coming artists could get seen and established artists felt comfortable playing club gigs,” says owner Steve Walter. “We wanted a place with great sound, creative food and cocktails, where the venue itself was as beautiful as the music.” Mission accomplished. Hit up The Cutting Room for after-work libations, delicious food, live music, or just to check out the resident 30-foot guitar.
The Cutting Room NYC is located at 44 East 32nd Street in New York City.
