I’m loving this softly smoked bottom lash look Anna Kendrick sported at the premiere of “Cake” at this year’s Toronto Film Festival. “Since this was a daytime premiere, we wanted to keep Anna’s look a bit more demure than what you’d expect to see on a nighttime red carpet”, says Kendrick’s makeup artist Toby Fleischman. Here, the beauty breakdown.

 “I smudged Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Dogon under the bottom lashes and into the corner of her lash line. The irridescent taupe eyeshadow blends beautifully into the gray, creating a very subtle smoke, perfect for daytime”, says Fleischman. She followed it up with a few coats of Lancome’s Grandiose Mascara, one of her favorites, to get “just the right amount of drama.”

“We kept the rest of the face very subtle, using Pur Minerals Cream Blush in Coy, which melts right into the cheeks for a nude, flushed look. And last, but certainly not least, we finished the look off with Burt’s Bees new Lip Crayon in Sedona Sands, which gives the absolute perfect neutral lip.”
