MET Gala 2014 Hairstyle: Reese Witherspoon

If this Grace Kelly homage wasn’t pitch-perfect, I don’t know what IS. Reese Witherspoon looked stunning in a sleek bob created by Renato Campora for Matrix at last night’s MET Ball. To compliment Reese’s strapless dress, Renato created an old-fashioned faux bob to accentuate her sharp cheekbones. Reese wanted to keep the hairdo simple, yet elegant. Reese did not want much hair falling on her face, which is why we kept it all in one place to not draw attention from her stunning dress. Here’s how to recreate the style.

Apply a dime-size amount of Total Results Heat Resist Blow Out Tamer ($16) throughout damp hair to give it shape and body and to add a silky protective layer to hair before blow-drying.

Spray Biolage VOLUMEBLOOM Full-Lift Volumizer Spray ($16) to ends to add bounce, long-lasting volume, and manageability.

Blow dry hair with a round brush to create volume from root to tip.

Flat iron sections around the face and throughout the shaft to refine and smooth the look.

Run a small amount of Biolage SMOOTHPROOF Serum ($16) throughout the hair to remove frizz and fly-aways.

Use a 1 ½ -inch barrel and curl the ends inward, brushing them out afterwards.

Finish by spritzing Biolage Styling Complete Control Hairspray ($16) all over to secure the bob.

What do you think of Reese Witherspoon’s look at the MET Ball?
