Best Oscars Beauty: My 3 Favorite Looks Of The Night

best-oscars-beauty-lupita-nyongo-kate-hudson.jpgBetween pizza, selfies, Jared Leto’s Mary Kate Olsen locks, Lupita’s win and Ellen’s fabulous hosting, this Oscars pretty much rocked, right? The red carpet was beyond long (seriously, starting at 5:30 with filler till 6:30? Do better, E.)  but a few stars brought their beauty A-game, and that’s what we’re here to discuss now. My favorites of the evening:

Kate Hudson

HAS NEVER LOOKED BETTER. I want to dye my hair platinum and do every single thing she did here. That gown was flawless, her skin and makeup luminous and her hair perfectly old Hollywood. Kate Hudson usually gets it right, but this time, she got it perfect. I hope she’s not going through a breakup with Matthew Bellamy, because that dress, hair and makeup suggests otherwise.

Lupita Nyong’o

I LOVED this look on her. The Queen Frostine of Candy Land fame-esque ice blue gown, the gold Fred Leighton headband, the extravagant earrings, the elegant sternum on parade: I am here for all of it. Her win was so well deserved and her speech was eloquent and moving. I clapped at the TV. I’m so ready for her to be the next EVERYTHING.

Sandra Bullock

Most of the time, I’m happy with Sandra’s hair and makeup, but this time I was floored. LOVE! The Yves Klein purple eyes were unexpected and fun, the dress was gorgeous and the hair was ideal for the most formal show of the year.

Whose looks did you like best at the Oscars? Whose didn’t you care for?
