Official Mascara Correspondent Ashleigh lengthens her lashes this week with L’Oreal Paris Lash Out  Butterfly Mascara, $9 at drugstore.com. Here, her review.

L’Oreal Paris is one of my favorite mass retailers when it comes to mascara (Voluminous Mascara, anyone?!) This incarnation has a really crazy cool brush; it’s rubbery bristles are asymmetrical, which aids in lifting the outer corners of the eye.  While wiggling the brush to get in between each lash, the  flair gobs on tons of product to your outer lashes.

One coat is nice, but two coats in better.  The second layer of product builds nicely with subtle clumping; separated and lifted lashes, just a little more beefy.  My afternoon freshen-up went nicely, adding dramatic depth to the lashline.  To top this all off, it washed off easily with soap and water.
