January Jones looked AMAZING at the 2012 Emmys, in an outcome that will shock exactly not one person. Here, the beauty breakdown of her look courtesy of Rachel Goodwin for makeup, Renato Campora for hair, and Jennifer J for hair color.
Don’t you love January Jones’ commitment to eyeliner? I sure do. Celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin created the starlet’s stunning makeup look at the Emmys. Says Rachel, “For January’s Emmy look I created a powerful indigo smoky eye paired with soft berry stained lips. I wanted her whole look to have a dramatic high fashion feel to it, not passive but of real intentional glamour.”

CHANEL Vitalumiere Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 in 10 Beige
I dabbed CHANEL Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in La Delicate onto her cheekbones with my index finger for soft muted pink flush.
I blended CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadow in Apparition on top blending it softly into the lash line, crease and extending out toward the hairline in a dramatic sweep.
I rimmed her eyes with CHANEL Waterproof Long Lasting Eyeliner in Noir Intense on the top and bottom then blended it deep into the lashes with a soft tapered brush.
Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir LIPS I applied CHANEL Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Determinee to her lips then buffed it off with a Q-Tip, leaving just a trace of soft berry behind.
Frederic Fekkai’s Renato Campora sculpted a very modern, simple and elegant effect. Here’s the quick how-to.
1. Apply Fekkai’s Coiff Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel and a little water to damp hair
2. Create a deep, side part and secure hair in the back with a rubber band in a low pony tail to achieve the slicked back style
3. Twist the hair in the ponytail around the rubber band to create a low, tight bun 4. Finish the look with Fekkai’s Coiff Sheer Hold Spray
Wella’s Jennifer J created Nominee, January Jones color. Not one to shy away from bold color (see January’s pink streak this past March), Mad Men’s January Jones spent the summer basking in the copper glow, but with the help of Wella Professionals celebrity colorist Jennifer J, she is gradually lightening up to restore her Betty Draper blonde in time for shooting in October. Jennifer J says, “January has to be back to Betty Draper by October to start shooting Mad Men again and our plan was to gradually go lighter bit by bit so her hair would stay in good condition, which is why I chose ILLUMINA Color (Wella’s latest innovation in permanent color launching in salons January 2013). We are looking to make our first jump back to blonde for the red carpet and will make sure it’s bright and shiny.”
