Must-have Summer Spa Services

QuickBliss spa pod at Bliss49

Stuck in the city on a beautiful summer weekend while everyone you know is sipping cocktails poolside in exotic locales? While they’re absorbing the sun’s damaging rays and exposing their hair and manicures to the elements, you’ll emerge the victor at the office come Monday—because you’ve hit up one of New York’s best salons and spas. Here, the latest and greatest primping propositions for weekends chez vous.

Bliss 49
The Midtown spa’s new QuickBliss services include a private treatment “pod” and nail stations for when time is of the essence. From facials and peels to pedicures and waxing, all services are under 30 minutes. Reap all the benefits of the talented staff and Bliss amenities you know and love—like endless infused spa water, cheese and cucumber hors d’oeuvres and those deadly Bliss brownies—and still breeze in and out of the space… emerging more beautiful, of course. Bliss49 is located on the ground floor of the newly renovated 49th Street retail location (in the W Hotel), where they’ve added space for the QuickBliss services.

Eve Salon
If you can’t make it to Georgia and are just dying to primp while saying things like “Bless her heart!” and sipping bourbon-laced (or straight) peach iced tea, Eve’s got you covered. The West Village spa is offering southern hospitality right here in the city with their new Peach Tea Pedicure. For $40, you’ll be pampered by one of Eve’s skilled nail techs with a custom-blended, perfectly peach-scented soak. A peach-scented scrub whisks dry skin away, and a peach-infused hydrator keeps it away. Finally, get adorned with the polish of your choice during the 60-minute service. Eve is located at 55 West 8th Street. Call 212-807-8054 to book the Peach Tea Pedicure.

Amorepacific
The Korean skin care brand’s SoHo spa has launched their Summer Skin Renewal Facial, which starts at $150. This luxurious treatment features high-grade, exclusive skin-refining ingredients from the brand’s Asian Botanical Blending Bar, as well as a relaxing application of the newly-released Time Response Gel Creme, all for a beach bash-ready radiant complexion. The Amorepacific Spa is located at 114 Spring Street. Call 212-966-0400 to book an appointment.

Browhaus
The SoHo-based salon now offers Lip Define, a semi-permanent makeup procedure using vegetable dye that can enhance or correct lips. The treatment starts at $725, but can last between one to three years, depending on various factors. To maintain the Lip Define service, Browhaus recommends a tune-up treatment every 12-18 months to maintain the best results. Before you intend to pair your new lips with with a deep smoky eye, please note that the color will likely be much darker than expected for the first 6 to 10 days post-treatment. Browhaus is located at 56 Spring Street. Call 212-431-1124 for an appointment.
